Panther Software has released new updates designed to streamline processes, reduce manual work, improve information accessibility, and strengthen team control over routine tasks. In this edition, we dive into what’s new and how each improvement is built to elevate your daily workflow.

Calendar View Redesign & Statistics

We’ve redesigned the Calendar View across Bookings, Availability, Timesheets and GP to create a faster, clearer scheduling experience. You can now jump between weeks instantly using the upgraded calendar picker. Week cards have been rebuilt with a softer visual style, clearer layout and quick-loading statistics that pulse while loading.

Periods are now much easier to identify through colour coding:

  • Green for open Financial Period
  • Grey for closed Financial Period
  • Blue for the week you're viewing
  • Green for this week

Shift and timesheet totals are more accurate and now match dashboard KPIs, with detailed statuses and adaptive tooltips for immediate clarity. The calendar also automatically scrolls to the correct week, improving navigation for busy teams.

Reduce time spent moving between weeks, improve accuracy of shift/timesheet insight and give your teams an easier, more intuitive way to manage schedules.

Candidate Tab: Bulk Action Bar

You can now work with candidates in bulk directly from the Candidate tab, bringing it in line with the functionality already available on Availability.

The update introduces dedicated highlight labels, clearer selection tools and a clean, consistent bulk action bar. This makes it easier to search, filter and act on groups of candidates without relying on repetitive clicks or pre-filled message templates.

Speed up high-volume candidate management and remove unnecessary admin from day-to-day tasks.

Candidate Status - Last Updated Details

Candidate status changes now include full audit history, making it easy for teams to see who updated a status and exactly when it was changed.

For every status update made on the front end, the system now shows: “Last Updated 23-Jul-25 14:00:42 By Charlotte Smith”

This ensures consistency with other “Last Updated” fields across Panther and improves visibility across teams handling shared candidate pools.

Strengthen accountability and improve confidence in candidate records.

Mass Import/Export: Teams

Teams can now be managed through the Mass Import/Export function. This makes it much easier to maintain large or frequently changing team lists without entering data manually.

You can now:

  • Export all existing team records
  • Generate a sample import file for easy formatting
  • Import new team records
  • Import amended team records (deletion is not permitted through this module)

Reduces manual data entry and allows agencies to manage team structures at scale.

Daily Summary Timesheets: Sub-Location Contact Access

Summary Timesheet notifications now support sub-location-level contacts, ensuring department receives only the shifts they are responsible for.

Key improvements include:

  • Sub-location contacts now appear in the Send Approval Invite dropdown
  • Updated display format: Name (Location, Sub-Location) with email beneath
  • Selecting a sub-location contact sends the summary only to that specific area
  • Confirmation pop-ups clearly distinguish between Location vs Sub-Location recipients
  • Sub-location contacts see only their own shifts when opening the summary
  • Automatic Summary Timesheet notifications follow the same visibility rules
  • Updated Notification Configuration tooltip clarifies visibility and delivery logic
  • Emails only send when the timesheet format is digital or when proof-of-work restrictions allow

Cancellations: Detail By Shift Report

A new report is now available to give teams a clear, consistent view of all cancelled shifts within a selected date range. Modelled on the No-Show - Detail By Shift report, this new version uses updated filters (Calendar Date Picker + Client) for easier reporting. A tooltip explains what the report includes and terminology has been fully standardised.

The report displays:

  • New “Cancellations - Detail By Shift” report based on the No Show report layout
  • Modern filters using Calendar Date Picker + Client filter (same as Compliance Expiry Report)
  • Tooltip explaining when shifts appear and which details are shown
  • Includes full set of cancellation types in past tense
  • Includes all required fields: cancellation type/reason, candidate changed to, client/location/contract details, candidate info, shift date, year/week
  • Automatically shows “N/A” for unset/zero ID fields
  • Export functionality fully supported

Helps agencies quickly identify cancellation trends, review key details and keep reporting consistent across clients and locations.

These updates focus on the areas where temporary recruitment teams spend the most time; calendars, candidates, contacts, teams, permissions and reporting. By improving accuracy and reducing manual processes, Panther continues to support agencies that need to move quickly while keeping operations tight and auditable.
